Description

Hours: Three hours lecture per week Prerequisites: Junior Standing or Consent of Instructor An exploration of the Southern California Chicano/a culture focusing on the genesis, vitality and diversity represented in the painting, sculpture and artistic traditions of Mexican American artists. Historical movements, politics, cultural trends and Mexican folklore underlying the development of this dynamic style of art will be investigated within a variety of contexts.
